Why You Should Feed Your Dog Organic Dog Food
Organic dog food is the best option if you need to rely on commercial preparations. Commercial dog foods usually contain high levels of sodium, preservatives, artificial colors and other additives that are toxic to your pet. Organic dog food products provide a guarantee that the product is natural and does not contain these toxic additions. Furthermore, the ingredients may be free of pesticides but you would need to check to make sure.

The internet is a great place to source quality organic dog food products. Read the information carefully. Do they use whole grains? Do they guarantee high quality protein? Do they offer any guarantees to consumers? The best products are likely to be made by small manufacturers whose business is serving the best needs of your pet.
3. Yyour Dog Will Be Happier. At the end of the day, don't we all want our pets to have happy lives? If your dog eats a healthy diet, he will have more energy and naturally be more active. Listeria in organic dried fruit?
Is there a significant risk of listeria in organic dried fruit? To a point where a pregnant woman should avoid it? Since no preservatives are used in the organic drying process, I was wondering about listeria and other bacteria. The fruit I tend to eat is dried mango, which is quite dry and leathery (as opposed to sultanas, which are more moist and might contain more bacterias).
This is interesting to me because I am pg. I know that listeria grows at cold temperatures (unlike most bacteria) and is heat-intolerant - that's why it's so easy to kill by heating. Because it grows in the cold, it generally causes contamination of foods that are kept refrigerated (deli meats, soft cheeses, etc.). I have only seen reports of fresh cut fruit being contaminated with listeria, and again, that is because it is stored in the cold for long periods while being shipped/sold.
Bottom line - even if there is a small chance listeria would be on the fruit prior to its being dried, it would in very little amounts, because storage conditions for dried fruit are not favorable for listeria to grow, and therefore I think it's unlikely they would pose a serious risk.
